Why Colour Management?
More and more business documents use colour in order to increase the effectiveness of the document, and to increase its perceived value. Many organisations require consistency in colour reproduction both to maintain their own values, and branding. Frequently documents are produced in-house rather than more expensively with specialised printers. However when the different devices are used, and as machines change during their production cycle, increased control of the colour reproduction process is required. Thus we offer colour management services to achieve that consistency.

Save money with Colour Management!
• Achieving a close match between the screen and the final output eliminates the problems normally associated with matching important colours such as company logos. Usually the process involves printing out multiple copies till the colour is close. A waste of money and man hours. This process is especially important when it comes to applications such as PowerPoint which handles colour in an unusual manner.

• A calibrated copier/printer will use less toner and be more reliable. Un-calibrated copiers tend to overcompensate over time by laying down too much toner and then dumping the resultant excess into the waste toner bin. You are literally throwing toner into the bin. This also impacts on the parts such as drum blades and creates excessive toner residue on the drum itself meaning more paper jams.

• For those businesses who presently send work to publishing houses and printers may be aware of a revolution that is transforming the industry. In-house proofing via the new standard PDF/X allows the user to produce a corrected file to be sent straight to print. The money saved by bypassing usual reprographic processes can be significant.

• Creatives can often be a bit too creative when it comes to specifying colour. Many colours are outside the colour gamut of the CMYK process. This means many jobs require unnecessary and expensive spot colours in order to complete the print job. Having your device profiled to the print press allows designers to be aware of the colour limitations of the process.
