Annodata becomes the first UK Partner to manage the regional service and support capability for Canon
London; September 2011.
Canon UK & Ireland has taken the unprecedented step of appointing a Partner to take over service and support for its regional direct customers by announcing that Annodata shall be responsible for this activity in Devon & Cornwall.
Canon’s installed fleet is in excess of 3,000 devices and this contractual undertaking furthers the commitment to their strategic channel partners.
Andrew Harman, Joint Managing Director of Annodata, explains, “After 22 years working in partnership with Canon, and currently their largest reseller in the UK and Ireland, we are delighted that in keeping with Canon’s strategy, Annodata have been appointed to manage the Devon and Cornwall operation on behalf of Canon UK and Ireland. We at Annodata, have the experience, skills, resources and infrastructure to takeover this unique region previously managed directly by Canon UK.”

Existing Canon customers will have a seamless transition to Annodata and can expect to receive a more personal level of advice and support enabling them to get better value from their existing investment.”
The capability and commitment of Annodata to fulfil this strategic obligation will provide existing Canon service personnel the opportunity to TUPE across and continue their employment. This ensures key customers continue in the secure knowledge that their existing relationships will be maintained whilst also providing enhanced service levels for all.

The advantage customers in the region will have is Annodata can provide a more holistic experience because of the industry knowledge and relationships they maintain. For example, their knowledge of 3rd party software applications could significantly enhance the productivity of many Canon devices.”
Although the basis of the contract relates predominantly to strengthening Canon’s regional service and support capabilities, Annodata will also manage the installed base commercially in order to maintain and expand it. By virtue of the scale of this undertaking Annodata will develop strong and durable customer relationships in order to expand the shared installed base further through a knowledgeable and experienced local sales team.
Annodata is also recognised as an accredited OGC contractor through the Canon partner programme and has extensive knowledge of the education sector and their vast product portfolio will enable us to meet all of their future and current customer requirements.
