Managed Services Provider further strengthens its data security credentials
The certification was presented to Annodata, a Kyocera Group company, by BSI, the business standards company, following a comprehensive and stringent auditing process.
Following a process which started almost 12 months earlier, an extensive audit of Annodata’s hardware, software and processes took place in February 2018 across its UK sites, including its headquarters in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. ISO 27001 is the international standard that describes best practice for an information security management system (ISMS), and certification to ISO 27001 demonstrates that an organisation follows the highest standard of information security best practice.
“We are thrilled to have achieved this very important certification,” comments Rod Tonna-Barthet, chief executive officer, Annodata. “The ISO 27001 certification provides one of the most stringent and powerful assurances available for the security of our employee, partner and customer information, empowering us to compete for tenders where this compliance is a mandatory requirement. “This certification, along with our existing Cyber Essentials certification, underlines just how seriously Annodata takes the challenge of information security. And with the implementation of GDPR just a month away, Annodata is well positioned to ensure we comply, while also supporting our customers across the UK achieve their own information security goals. Annodata’s security experience and solutions are first class and we pride ourselves on our ability to help customers navigate a safe and secure path.”
Carla Whyte, Senior Client Propositions Manager at BSI said:
“In today’s digital world, it’s becoming increasingly vital for organisations to manage and safeguard sensitive data. By achieving certification to ISO 27001, Annodata has demonstrated that it is committed to ensuring information is well managed and that it has a robust information security management system in place.”
