24th March 2020 – Due to the ongoing situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the latest Government and NHS advice, Annodata has implemented several new policies and working practices.
As of noon today, we have closed all our offices. Fortunately, due to the way in which our business is set up, all but a very small number of employees have been able to work from home, so maintaining business continuity. This continuity includes the provision of all incoming calls both to reception and Service Desk as well as being able to continue to fulfil any orders received.
With the safety of our nationwide engineering workforce in mind, we are now only able to attend any service calls which relate to Healthcare, the Emergency Services and other “Key Services” as defined by the UK Government. Unfortunately, this does mean that all other calls will be advised that we are unable to attend until further notice. As forecast, we have seen a dramatic reduction in incoming call and email volumes this week and as organisations around the country accelerate their own office closures, we expect this to fall further, minimising the direct impact to customers.
Operations in our warehouse have been trimmed back in line with customer requirements. Whilst we will continue to man our Dunstable Warehouse and Distribution Centre, this will be run with a minimum number of employees (to ensure we can fulfil the above Emergency, Healthcare and ‘Key Services’ customer requirements).
